Damian Wallace MSc. QFA. CFP®

Damian Wallace commenced working in the Insurance industry in 1986, he set up Wallace Financial Consultants in 1990 and has developed and grown the business in the intervening years. He has extensive experience in providing financial planning advice to a wide range of high net worth private clients, owners of small and medium sized enterprises and a number of charitable institutions.

An expert in the area of Wealth Management and Financial Planning he is a Qualified Financial Advisor, a Certified Financial Planner and holds a Masters in Financial Services from UCD.

Damian is a former Lord Mayor of Cork and has served as a director on various public boards including the Port of Cork, the National Standards Authority and Cork Opera House where he served as Chairman for over 9 years.

Daniel Wallace MSc. CFP® QFA.

Daniel Wallace CFP® is a Certified Financial Planner™ with a Master’s degree in Financial Planning & Sustainability. He is a graduate in Business Information Systems from University College Cork and a past pupil of Christian Brothers College, Cork.

Daniel began his career in financial services with Fidelity Investments, where he worked across a range of projects within the Workplace and Personal Investing teams, gaining strong experience in large-scale pension structures and investment solutions.

In 2019, Daniel joined Cornmarket Group Financial Services as a Workplace Consultant, advising public sector employees on their pension entitlements and wider personal financial planning. He was later promoted to Retirement & Investment Consultant for the Cork region, where he specialised in helping clients plan for retirement and guiding them through the transition into retirement.

Daniel joined Wallace Financial Consultants in 2021 and works closely with new and existing clients to deliver comprehensive, long-term financial planning advice. He specialises in cashflow modelling, public and private sector retirement planning, and personal and family protection, and he is known for his clear, structured approach and ability to explain complex financial concepts in plain English.

 

Catherine Connolly

Catherine is the Office Manager and has been with Wallace Financial Consultants for over 20 years. She manages all aspects of the smooth running of the office and is the first point of contact for clients.​

Barbara Crowley MSc. QFA.

Barbara joined Wallace Financial Consultants in 2017 having worked in the financial services sector for almost twenty years. An MSc graduate from University College Dublin, Barbara began her financial services career with Irish life in 2001 before moving into an advisory role in the broker market in Cork for a number of years.

As well as her experience in the financial services industry, she also gained extensive knowledge of the mortgage market. In 2007 she commenced her role as investment property lending advisor to the Private Clients of Ulster Bank. Barbara is a Qualified Financial Advisor and has more recently qualified as an Accounting Technician.​

Bernard O'Shaughnessy

Bernard O'Shaughnessy QFA.

Bernard O’Shaugnessy is a highly experienced financial advisor with a long and distinguished career in the Irish financial services industry. A former Director of Wintrust Ltd., Bernard brings a wealth of knowledge built up over many years advising both private individuals and corporate clients on their financial planning needs.

Throughout his career, Bernard has developed strong, long-standing relationships with clients, many of whom he has supported across multiple life stages, from wealth accumulation and protection planning through to retirement and succession planning. His approach is grounded in clarity, trust, and a deep understanding of each client’s personal and business objectives.

Bernard joined Wallace Financial Consultants in 2023, further strengthening the firm’s advisory capability. He continues to work closely with new and existing clients, providing practical, tailored advice across pensions, investments, protection, and broader wealth-management strategies for both private and corporate clients.

Jennifer Dennehy

Jennifer Dennehy RS. LIB. QFA.

An established financial consultant, Jennifer specialises in Wealth Management and Advisory.  As a trusted advisor, she focuses on partnering with her Family Office and Private clients, advising holistically to assist in the achievement of their financial aspirations.

Jennifer builds life-long relationships with her clients, providing a stewardship role on their path to achieve their goals in asset preservation, growth and transfer to the next generation.  She is valued by her clients as a sounding board and guide for their integrated investment decisions and for her holistic understanding of global markets and the balance between capital preservation, risk and return.

Her areas of expertise include Forensic Portfolio Analysis, Asset Allocation Oversight and Sustainable Wealth Management.

Adam Kenny BSc. QFA.

Adam Kenny is a Trainee Financial Planner with Wallace Financial Consultants, supporting advisors in the creation, analysis, and implementation of comprehensive financial plans for clients.

Adam holds the Qualified Financial Advisor (QFA) designation and plays a key role in the preparation of client recommendations, cashflow analysis, and the implementation of agreed financial strategies across pensions, investments, and protection planning. He works closely with senior advisors to ensure that client plans are accurate, well-structured, and aligned with both client objectives and regulatory requirements.

Adam is focused on developing his technical expertise and practical experience within financial planning, and is committed to delivering a high standard of support and service to both clients and the wider advisory team. Adam is currently in the process of obtaining the CFP® designation.

Thomas 'Thos' Cahill QFA.

Thos Cahill is a long-standing figure in the Cork financial-planning community, with decades of experience advising clients on their financial protection and long-term security.

Thos has worked closely with Wallace Financial Consultants since the acquisition of Cork Financial Advice Centre in 2022, and has continued to act as a key point of contact for his longstanding client base. He specialises in personal and family protection planning, helping clients put appropriate life assurance, income protection, and serious illness cover in place to safeguard their financial wellbeing.

Thos places a strong emphasis on clear advice and ongoing client relationships, ensuring that protection arrangements remain appropriate as clients’ circumstances evolve.
